Raid Night Update
I realized this morning I just put out a recruitment post advertising Saturday raids. We’ve been having attendance issues for a few weeks now and Saturdays suffer the most. Instead of constantly forcing people to switch to alts to make these raids happen, I’d rather give people a night back to go out and enjoy themselves, hopefully preventing any additional burnout. I do not make this decision lightly. My attendance should show I’m a raider at heart and would prefer a 4 day schedule.
Starting the week of May 11th we will switch to a 3 day raiding schedule. Lord Inquisitor Seru will move to Friday after Aten Ha Ra. If we have time, we will assess additional targets. Saturday May 9th will be the last Saturday raid until further notice. DKP earned each raid tick will remain at 25 per hour. This means you will have less opportunity to earn DKP each week.

I want to call out individuals who have been helping make our current raids successful by playing multiple roles that are not their mains. They allow the rest of us to play the character we want and still win fights. Elcleriko being the star of the show with all his CotH mages and taking over as one of our main tanks. Fabio and Vaethral’s arsenal of core classes. Asendra (Elisys) playing his cleric Yuno every single night without complaints, even leveling a warrior to ensure our PoP success. Cukazi and Rimbaud swapping to Biggysmalls and Verlaine any time we need more heals. Hellia not only taking on a pulling role, but swapping to Heallia when we need a rampage healer. Klobbor subbing in as shaman when needed. Activist helping offtank and calling out AOEs when playing Mortos. Ailya coming back and working on his cleric. Even Bohdee bringing his cleric up when we need him. Saelilya and Gulthak swapping to rogues when we need an extra.Lotharin swapping to CotH mage. I even see Chord willing to swap to enchanter when we need Fabio switch. I recognize each and every one of your sacrifices and I can’t express how much I appreciate you all for keeping this guild moving forward each and every raid night. You are all the reason why we can keep going and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
When do Saturdays return?
I think its supply and demand. When demand increases, we’ll supply with more DKP and raiding. We’re averaging about 45 on weeknights and Saturdays have dropped below 30. Sub 30 is clearly the danger zone for successful raiding unless we take out off night type targets. So in order to have confidence in adding Saturday back on the schedule, I’d like to see weeknights exceed 60 again. When that happens, feel free to vocalize your interest in Saturday raiding. Leadership will then re-assess the situation and see if Saturdays is right for us once again. I don’t have any immediate plans of Planes of Power, but it may be wise to continue a lighter schedule until elemental planes are out and the majority of our crew are Lv65 with some PoP AAs. Until then, we’ll keep recruiting and try to bring up new members. I’m hoping Planes of Power sees some old faces return for the grind and new content. Luclin was very much released poorly and was always doomed to be a tourist/raid logging expansion.
