Planes of Power Update: Part 2

The Former Glory leadership team met and discussed the remainder of rules we want to enforce during the Planes of Power era. If you have any questions, let us know. If you have suggestions for changes or things you want to dispute, I ask that you send those to myself or an officer through DMs so we don’t clutter discord and stir any negative emotions. The goal of these rules is to maintain the success of the raid as a whole and help us push into higher tiers of raids with minimal resistance.

  • Lv65 Clr, Dru, Shm, Ench, Bard spells at a 2:1 ratio until we get 2-4 people with each crucial Lv65 spell we need. Guild will collect these, turn them in, and DKP them out at the beginning of the next Planes of Power raid night (not at VT Wednesdays). Once we get enough of the spells we need for crucial classes, we will just DKP out the parchments from that point on to make it less complicated for leadership. The exact number is not known. We’re a very casual guild and people who attend Fri/Sat don’t show up Mon/Wed for example, so we have to play this by ear and I’m sorry about not giving exact numbers of what spells and how many.
    • We reserve the right to claim spells and force them on raid alts that play crucial roles if it’ll help the raid progress. We do not have plans to do this, but we want to reserve the right to do so.
  • Mains required for progression content. Progression is all Planes of Power raids until announced otherwise. Alts only allowed for crucial classes, officer approval needed. We need to cut down on under geared and under AA’d characters coming to raids unless we’re desperate for those classes. Every encounter is about to be “SSRA Emperor-style”.
    • The idea behind this is, its hard to raise the raider requirement by AA. Some classes need more than others (war, brd, clr need more, nec mag ench need less). This also alienates anyone new that we recruit. I cant enforce titles and certain abilities. So instead, I want to force players to bring their best to raids that matter, and discourage swapping to when you have something more powerful that you can play. People are bringing poorly geared characters with no resists to raids, tanks with no defensive AAs, and are taking it easy by not pulling their weight.
  • No alt swapping for flags for the first 4 weeks of clearing content. I don’t want mains and alts fighting over flags and slowing down the rest of the raid. For those first 4 weeks we’ll ask people with key alts to swap and attend/get flagged to ensure the survival of future raids. Saturdays will be dedicated to back flagging, once we move from one tier to the next, and there will be time to flag alts. Please only do one swap per flag encounter and don’t expect your entire roster to get flagged in one evening. Its not just about the number of flags we have, its about time and keeping the raid moving.
  • January 1st the DKP cap for raid main bids will be removed. Main character raiders can bid as much as they want for any item and the DKP system max bid will be raised to accommodate this. No changes to raid alts and below are being made.
  • January 1st the minimum requirements to raid will be raised to Lv65 + Run Speed 3.
  • Vex Thal will be one day a week (Wednesdays) so that people who previously couldn’t attend can get a chance at the Aten neck. The loot will remain BIS for some time, so I’m thinking this will last until January 1st as well. Vex Thal will still be a DKP raid (DKP given for attendance, DKP bids for all items.) At that time we’ll switch to full Planes of Power since we’ll have too many zones to cover.
    • As always, Planes of Power content (aka current era content) will be mandatory DKP. Luclin will move to “Free for all, unless someone’s planning on raiding it. Raid leaders can choose their own loot rules.”
  • The guild will claim the first 3 Plane of Innovation Factory keys. After that we’ll DKP the rest for people who want to bring their own groups through.
  • Lv61-64 spells parchments will be DKP until the value plummets, likely within 30 days.
  • This is a new expansion and raid leaders will be explaining things. If you have suggestions, please put those in raid chat and do not clutter up voice chat. We need to be patient with each other as we’re progressing. We don’t want any arguing in voice chat.
